Mediation and Professional Witness Services
With 30 years of experience in construction, B.A. Worthing, Inc. has decided to offer contractor mediation and professional witness services.
For homeowners who have hired a contractor, the professional mediation service can be used in a number of different capacities:
- Specifications & Scope of work clarification- to make sure the homeowner and contractor are on the same page as the project begins, we can work with both parties to level expectations, this will resolve many potential problems before they can occur
- Responsibility determination- As an agent for the homeowner or contractor, if a problem occurs on a jobsite and an impasse is reached, the mediation service will help to determine whether a problem or disagreement is the responsibility of the homeowner or contractor
For homeowners who have already moved toward legal action against a contractor they believe is at fault, the professional witness service can be used, the steps for this service are as follows:
- Give an assessment of the responsibility of damages or errors to help the homeowner determine which complaints are valid
- Determine a fair market value for repairs or damages that have been incurred
- Testify for depositions and/or court testimony
Service Rates:
Mediation and Consultation- $100 per hour
Depositions and Court Testimony- $200 per hour
